Why I Built Biwitech: A Latina Tech Leader’s Vision for Smarter Retail in LATAM and the U.S.

The Story Behind the Idea

When I began shaping what would become the Biwitech product line, I wasn’t just thinking about launching new hardware. I was determined to solve problems I had seen firsthand—again and again—in the retail and hospitality industries across the United States and Latin America.

For over a decade, I worked behind the scenes, leading complex tech projects for stores, chains, and food service operations. No matter the country or client, the challenges echoed each other: outdated infrastructure, overpriced imported equipment, minimal representation of women in tech leadership, and a clear lack of solutions designed for our markets.

I knew we deserved better. That’s why I set out to build it — from the ground up.

Why Biwitech Exists

Biwitech is the hardware division of Bigwise Corp. Our mission is to design and deliver smart retail and hospitality technology tailored for Latin America and the U.S.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. Rather, we create purpose-built tools that reflect the unique demands of our region.

Our product line includes:

• POS systems: Quantum PRO and Quantum DUO
• Digital signage: ShelfView, TouchTotem, DineView, VisionTouch

Each product integrates with Stellar, Bigwise’s software suite, and is designed for adaptability and performance.
